E & T Training's basic pistol class is appropriate for those new to handguns or those who want to refresh or hone their basic skills and feel more confident with firearms.
This course includes basic handling skills such as loading, unloading, reloading, stance, grip, sight picture, trigger control and reset, follow-through, clearing malfunctions, and clearing the handgun for safe transport or storage.
Bring your carry holster if you want to practice with it on the range.
Emphasis will be on safely handling and shooting your pistol. This class does NOT satisfy the requirements for a Texas License to Carry; however, we'll briefly discuss Texas' "unlicensed carry" (also referred to as "constitutional carry") law. You can now carry most places in Texas without a License to Carry.
This is an entry-level class, so there are no prerequisites. Students must be 18 years of age or 10 if accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or related adult. Bring either a semi-auto or revolver or rent a handgun for the class from us for $20.
