Prerequisite: E & T Training’s Basic Pistol Class, Texas License to Carry Class, or other acceptable evidence of basic handgun handling ability.
This course goes beyond basic shooting skills to consider additional aspects of defending yourself in extremes by use of a firearm. Topics covered in the Texas License to Carry Class are not repeated here so we can emphasize defensive tactics and shooting rather than legal and regulatory matters. However, the legal aftermath of a defensive shooting will be covered.
During the range portion of the class, awareness of trigger reset, follow-through, tactical and speed reloading, clearing malfunctions, and drawing from a holster or purse will be practiced. Targets are stationary, and we do not practice "move & shoot". Prerequisites are E & T Training's Basic Pistol Class, Texas License to Carry Class, or other acceptable evidence of basic handgun handling ability.
